Issue 5 was a new, continuing levy for the district's current expenses. District leaders say deep cuts are on the table. Superintendent Karen Brown said before the vote that a failed levy would mean cutting to state minimums, including transportation, electives and activities. After the vote she wrote, "Nothing changes in our classrooms today."
